For those of you unfamiliar with it, Mumble is voice communication software like Ventrilo or Teamspeak.
Client download: Mumble (select version 1.2.2 only. Not backwards compatible.)
Address: 85.236.100.59
Port: 14112
Password: Ask in-game.
Servername and Username you choose yourself. If you register yourself you need not type it anymore.
Rules
Using Mumble can be fun, be it for gaming purposes or just a chat. However, previous experiences indicate clear rules are needed to reduce VoIP-related problems. Therefore:
Short Version: Don't ignore AChat. Be nice.
Long Version:
Please do not ignore Guild or Alliance Chat. If an alliance member asks for help, it is rude as well as unhelpful for them to be ignored while a large number of members are on Mumble.
It is understandable when players are in AB for example, and lack time to type. If a group of players are heading out together and are all turning G/A Chat off, announce it; thus no negativity arises over disappearances and they will be excused from general helpful behaviour whilst dealing with their task.
Just as a reminder: please also follow general rules of behaviour expected in-game while using Mumble.
The reason for these rules is to prevent the Alliance community from falling apart and having two separate cliques - one solely on Guild Wars chat and the other on Vent. Not every player will have a mic or Mumble - and not every player will want to use them either.
Good luck and have fun!
